I’m not overly critical, but this was legitimately terrible. The first one I loved and was looking forward to the second installment. I’m unsure how Warner Brothers thinks releasing a three hour movie is a good idea. So much filler, the pacing was awful, acting was bad, and the story seemed campy (although I know that’s not their fault). It seems that the redeeming qualities about the first film were the coming of age story executed by a skilled young cast, as well as a chilling performance by Skarsgard. Once they swapped the kids out for adults, all the dialogue seemed silly, and Pennywise was given even less time to shine. Quite disappointing.
