I had just completed this book based on the true events which revolve around three main characters Rumi also known as Maulana Rome from Anatolia , A girl named Kimya came from a village and a wildman Shams of Tabriz.
This book made a proper plot to tell the story of the spiritual relationship between Rumi and Shams how much they used to study together. They have same sort of interest to study the oneness of ALLAH and have a deep look over it. Most of the time shams came from Tabriz to Maulana's residence to study together but due this many times Maulana's wife disturbed and and his kids too.
A girl from a village had a great spiritual attraction with the Rumi. She asked her non-muslim parents about it . They became very upset just because of it because Kimya wants to go to met and being a student of Maulana. But she shows her stubbornness and moved towards Anatolia.
There she met Maulana's wife and two of her brother boys Maulana adopted her and she started living there. She used to saw Maulana and Shams study together many a times. She had great spiritual time there.
When she grow young Maulana asked Kimya to marry Shams because he wants eternal relationship with Shams. Kimya agreed and they got married.
But, unfortunately she didn't find peace in that marriage. As, he never gave specified time to his wife which made her mentally disturbed. She usually used to wait for his husband to come and have intimate relationship but all in vain. Shams wants her to have a spiritual awakening instead of this worldly relationship however both of them have its own importance.
At last, Kimya lost herself and became downfall day by day . She may or may not noticed her. She died of this unhealthy marriage.
It was rumoured that after Kimya's death Shams moved towards Tabriz where he may died on the way to Tabriz or being killed by Alau din , Maulana's son.
However Rumi became famous and did his work and remained spiritual as he was . He became a famous poet.
A highly recommend written by Muriel Maufroy which should be studied by all.
