Alan Fleming

I’ve never been one to be persuaded or deterred by movie critics, so decided to give this movie a watch. It’s unfair to compare it with Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, the only real similarity is the translator and the part they played during the Afghan War. This movie stands on its own and while it’s not a must watch, it is a good watch. Don’t let the critics put you off, it’ll pass a couple of hours nicely.

Not a bad film but not great either, I was expecting more to be honest. It could have been much more if they hadn’t (SPOILER) of killed off the most interesting character in the movie!

I like this show. Old fashioned grandfather trying to keep his adopted granddaughter on the straight and narrow, except, she’s just a bit rebellious where her parents are concerned. He’s not particularly likeable and indeed, racist but he thinks he’s doing what’s right.
