Episode One was a bit mediocre, to be honest, but hoping the series gets better. The two key misfiring moments to watch out for:
(a) Sarlacc Pit - The most anticipated moment as kids have been imagining this in their heads for over thirty years, but in execution not only lacklustre and anti-climactic but frankly unconvincing - sticking the actors in limp curtains of raw chicken fillet looked pretty naff.
(b) Bad fight scene - Similarly defying suspension of disbelief is the incredibly laboured fight scene with a group of shielded heavies, the actors telegraphing their strikes with geriatric pace and agility. This level of quality would have been acceptable in the 80s in an episode of the A-Team, but these days you see better homemade fight choreography.
Update: Episode Two was indeed a lot better. Need to see a bit more Once Were Warriors charisma from Temuera Morrison though.
