I honestly find this show, especially Race To The Edge to be the best and most enjoyable part of 'How To Train Your Dragon' it featured character development and arcs, motivations that carry into the movies, a bridging of the five-year gap between the movies, some of the most compelling villains I have seen thus far, tons of world-building, brand new characters that you begin to fall in love with and throws in so many plot twists that no one can see coming These series had something the movies could not. You can't cram everything you see here into a two-hour movie, especially the relationships and character arcs. The movies were powerful and amazing and all had a beautiful message but this show had the chance to be laid back and lighthearted, yet sorrowful, mysterious and sad. If you love the movies, this show is a must-watch
