The Joker is a harrowing depiction of what can happen to a character who could have been an asset to society but instead becomes an angry avenging figure due to the cruel treatment he recieves at the hands of those who cannot understand or accept the differences The Joker is in fact a product of a manhandling society starting with his mentally unstable mother Nothing of course excuses his murderous violence but one can understand the ferocity of his resentment built up over time I wanted to reach out and hug him, save him from himself One feels that a little kindness would have gone a long way with the Joker But alas ....
