Even though this drama was based on true events, can't help but think what a wasted life of love...it's been hours since I finished watching and still can't stop crying, that says it all for the fantastic portrayal done by Lee Woo-jin and Park Min-young and oh boy the king, played by Lee Dong-gun..honestly he broke my heart in the last episode. That says a lot for the writers and directors. Lots of lessons to be learned from this am sure, and to realize what the kings and queens had to endure in times gone by..but surely after all was said and done why did the queen not go back with him??, she was already married, all the bad guys went..why didn't she stay with him??? ..so heart breaking for the king when she refused him once again..maybe I missed something but still can't understand that,.. In the end it was wrapped up very quickly, I thought they did get back but it was all a dream...so so sad..omg!.

Must say I wanted to see the difference between Boys over Flowers and this Meteor Garden. At first it was a joy to watch the F4 they were a feast for the eyes, really great acting by them, as for Shantai I though she was a lot annoying throughout till the last, reason being for heaven's sake! Daoming Si from day one was doing so much for her, telling her repeatedly his feelings and she kept kicking him in the shins...what a stone hearted person she portrayed ..maybe the script was written like that but it was annoying. I persevered till the end till the last two episodes wth happened there???? Omg!! Instead of all the reruns couldn't they let us see what happened to them from the time after they collapsed in the bedroom???..it was so confusing!! ..am thinking is she dreaming? . ..are they dead???...big thumbs down to the writers and directors. Ending was ok after all that.

This drama was a real treat for sore eyes, so beautiful and handsome these hwarangs a real joy to watch. I've seen Park Seo-joon several times before but in this drama he was absolutely awesome, his character as dog-bird what a name he lived up too, be it the fight scenes or romance omg his voice is like a warm blanket..amazing guy love him. Park Hyung-sik another actor who never fails to deliver, so so handsome, and can appreciate the struggle he had as a king in hiding so emotional watching him. Sorry to say but can't seem to gel with Go-ara too much crying for me. ..all the other supporting actors did a great job, how could a man be so pretty like Choi Ming-ho, so sweet and strong..the hwarang trainer ever so funny..the queen omg so horrid but I guess when their acting makes you hate them they're done a good job...all in all I would give this a big 5☆ for acting..storyline music and drama not forgetting the beautiful casting ..well worth the watch.

This drama got me from the first episode mainly because of the two main leads, saw Nam Joo-hyuk and Shin Se-kyung before in Weightlifting Boon-soo and SSK in Rookie Historian and Black Knight, they were equally great in those. God Habaek and So-ra was so handsome and beautiful together so enjoyed watching them, God Habaek was just magnificent in his God's garb wow! and even on earthland so funny seeing him getting used to all the stuff we take for granted. Soundtracks were so heart wrenching I can listen to it all the time, and cinematography were amazing too. All the other God's were just great especially the fire God felt so sad for him, was rooting for him all the way. So-ra's assistant was was so funny so cute and caring. There's a lesson to to be had here, cherish your loved ones as you don't know when they will leave. I will give this drama a big thumbs up as it had everything in it. A must watch.
