3.5 to be exact with the stars. Critic Andy Greenwald in his TV debut creates a whacky and darkly comedic world that's far more interesting than its actual mystery. Greenwald wanted to make another Twin Peaks, but he forgets some of us wanted to know what happened to Laura Palmer and not forget about it with the characters.
The first 5 or 7 episodes are solid, even show something worth revisiting but once the story comes to a close and reveals its twists, it gets bonkers. Showing as to how Greenwald still needs to master some showrunning skills.
Greenwald once wrote a negative review of the HBO series True Detective, a series that had a first instalment far superior to this series, most of all because it dedicated itself to its two protagonists, yet in Briarpatch Greenwald is lost in the final batch of episodes, not recognizing what he really wanted to say with each character. Anyways S1 of True Detective is better.
