So ive played a few Tales games.. Vesperia included which has been my favourite in the series for a very long time, until now. Tales of Arise is outstanding and out performs all of its previous titles in all aspects except for one area - the reveal of what is actually behind all of the chaos. (SPOILER ALERT) - I was somewhat disappointed to find out that "The Great Spirit" an entity created from too much concentrated astral energy was the soul reason why everything began, the creation of the Renans, the sovereign contest etc.. With that all said - I loved the ending! We finally got a truly convincing feel good ending in the series and the characters you meet along the way are so unique and funny - this game also touches a few sensitive subjects: race, slavery and equality which a lot of games tend to steer away from these days, but Arise does this all perfectly. I dont like to rate games but this gets a solid 9.5/10 with only that previous part of the story letting me down slightly. If you enjoyed Vesperia you NEED to play this game, enjoy 😊
