I get the point of the film, I get the writing was supposed to reflect video game characters but jeez it was terrible... the happy ending made no sense as it leads a promising young man with resentment and grief to commit a horrible act that should ruin his life forever but instead leads him to create a world that lets him visit his deceased father which brings him deeper into a false world. His reality is heavily skewed and some how this leads to his happiness? It just doesn't make sense to me. Great concept, wrong approach. Other than the terrible writing, the cinematography was immaculate, the way it was shot was beautiful and I definitely would take a trip to Plymouth Island.
