This is a scientific and artistic album. Created with joy and hatred, computers and acoustics, and beautiful synths and recordings. It might be a little bit hard to understand at first, but this is an album that takes time to sit with. It's not something you listen to once or twice, simple because of the sheer detail put in each track. The first time I listened I wasn't as impressed as I was with Aphex's other tracks, but this eventually crept up to my top albums. I don't see Druqks as simply music any more, it's a new experience every time I listen to it. While the sounds can get a bit hectic at times; there is a certain control to it that I just need to listen to again and again. I'm transported to another world when listening to these harsh songs, and the warmth of the piano pieces brings me back to reality, making me feel as though I am the one playing these pieces, and then the harsh emotions come back and it's all just emotions. This album has legit made me cry at times.
