It works OK as an action film. However, as a history buff the numerous historical inaccuracies coupled with the needlessly over-complicated nature of the film and the over-done 'Hollywood' style action hinder its effectiveness as a means of re-telling an important part of American history. Overall, it's a 5/10 from me
