I loved the game at the start ( I’m talking about the first last of us) because I feel it had a purpose which was the relationship between Joel and Ellie and how got closer and closer until it was like a father and daughter relationship But in this game I felt as if it lost its purpose of course the infected are still there and you are going to fight them but I felt as if it went downhill when Joel got killed by Abby because that then sparked a new purpose which was to kill Abby from that very moment After the death of Joel. Ellie would go on to be driven by revenge until she found Abby as a hostage then to feel sympathy for her then right after saving her she would go on to try and kill Abby by drowning her to then release her from the water and let her go which I thought from that moment this game was a waste of money because there was no purpose of the game because all that revenge to kill Abby and then let her go it would then show a cutscene of Ellie lost 2 of her fingers by Abby with a guitar ( which was Joel’s ) and leave it behind I really did like that moment because it shows how she has forgiven Joel and has moved on because if she would carry on to mourn Joel’s death she would be stuck in the past and never be able to move on and that she is going to move on But I was really disappointed honest because I really did love the first last of us and was wishing the second would live up to it’s name but it clearly didn’t As it went downhill from Joel’s death and let’s be honest we all knew Joel was gonna die but it was the way they executed the rest which had disappointed me That’s all bye
