Don't get me wrong, as you can tell by my profile picture I'm a die-hard Melanie Martinez fan, but this movie was alright. I love all the songs in this album and everything is so gorgeous which is oh so appealing to me. The songs and dancing was 10/10, acting was a 7/10, but it's really good for Melanie, who has never acted before.
A huge con for me was the plot. When I watched the movie, I couldn't understand what was going on (it's probably because I'm not the smartest, it's a personal thing). The only thing I understood was a chopped up principal, they had a plot to get rid of the school (it's hard to explain). This took off some points for me.
Overall, if you want a movie that has amazing visuals, songs, dances, but don't care about the plot, then this movie is for you. This also addresses a lot important issues like eating disorders, sexism, and a lot more which I think people should be aware of.
