The show could have been made much better, since i come all the way from Aladdin Naam toh Suna Hoga, produced and directed by the same people (as per what Wikipedia tells me). Yes, this show has some story, but it cannot showcase it that well. the movement tends to become slow sometimes and the story shakes up. We still don't know why Sim-Sim is always flying and playing a stereotypical Buri Pari (yes, it does seem like she was imported from Baalveeer). Mariam has no role as far as the latest episode shows and she is trying her best to escape from Saddam. that is the only gripping character ever. Without him, things seem off-track and dull. Ali Baba is great, but we dont know why he would ever risk his hand and life and time into getting Mariam away from harm. Aladdin had a different flavour to it, where things seemed interesting even if they were not. Perhaps because the heroine had an equally important role? I think Mariam could be made stronger, and since the show is out already i think she can run away and make herself better over a course of one month or something. ali and mariam collide after that period, where she helps him this time. during this time, the forty thieves are already in kabul and mariam knows that. something can be weaved on this, so please. let's have a better show and make it as successful as Aladdin among us audience? I hope the writers and directors read this and understand why the TRP is low - it is because the show promised something same like Aladdin without the actors and characters and magic, and the evil shown is not exactly gripping.
