The DCEU has a history of overdoing their movies into a dark and gritty rides. Sure it worked for The Dark Knight, but here's the thing: THE DCEU IS NOT PART OF THAT UNIVERSE. This movie, however, does none of those things. It actually succeeded where Man of Steel failed.
