Lean Ocampo

Rather mediocre Pokemon games that baffle me due to the fact that they do not even compare to the gameplay, difficulty and storytelling of older games like Black and White (and their respective sequels), Diamond and Pearl, and even Sun and Moon, nostalgia unaccounted. The Switch is the most powerful console Nintendo currently has, and Sword and Shield have been the most anticipated and notorious Pokemon games as of late - which makes the current state of the graphics and character (human and Pokemon) animation largely disappointing. Even compared to non-Pokemon games, these games only shine from the fact that they have 'Pokemon' in their titles. It looks, feels and plays like it's rushed and unfinished, and DLC is on the way - which, although looks great, saddens me due to the fact that payment is due for a seemingly full game experience. As a long-time but now rather relaxed Pokemon fan, Sword and Shield make me slightly worry for the state of future games.
