Could have been better. I gave it 2 stars, not one, because it was written good enough and the characters weren't really neglected.
I gave it so little stars because this book could have been a lot better. As a gay trans man, I love that it's pro-gay, but I hate how it's anti-male. It constantly attacks and stabs at white straight men whatever way it can, without stopping to realize how harmful that is.
The male characters were also kind of hard to connect to. Something just felt... OFF about them, ya'know?
One more thing:
Straight white men are good.
