Trying to please everyone, but satisfies very few. Star Wars is still cinematic royalty when it comes to costumes, alien races, vehicles & space ships, geographic setting, and music score. However, the plot has way too many flaws, holes, unnecessary twists, and contradictions. Why not just recast Carry Fishers character? No one would blame them if they did. Instead, they allowed nostalgia to dictate the story by letting unused footage drive arcs. The Skywalker story line is done, and beat, but there is so much more to the Star Wars Universe. Follow the example of Rogue One, which was a triumph, and develop new characters.
