This movie had potential but even after some research on the timeline I both don't understand and don't care.
I'd describe it as a bad lord of the rings knockoff.
For one, if the pevensies already were getting old in Narnia in their last "lives" then when they returned to Narnia they should have been the same older ages they were. They have their old memories but still act like children! Two, Narnia isn't their real world, and saving Narnia is the same preface for the movie and it gets old.
I'm sure the book addresses some timeline problems, but I can't find anything online to answer my questions. Like how did Susan's horn make it to Caspian? And who is Caspian and why should we care about him? Aren't Susan and Caspian related? Their sexual tension is weird nonetheless, because she's 1300 years older than him?
Aslan only helps when he wants to, he isn't there when they need him and it gets old.
Is Caspian related to the pevensies? He is a "son of Adam " just like the pevensies but isn't related to them?
There isn't the urgency needed to care for some characters, the fight scenes are much too long, bad acting (in the scene where Caspian is threatening to kill his aunt and uncle his aunt screams at the end for no apparent reason), and worn out recycled plot points.
Plus the pevensies constantly know things that the audience does not know, like when Peter throws out the fact that Caspian's people "invaded Narnia"?
The music is good, and the costumes are cool too, but that's all I like about the movie.
