At first I thought 1 or 2 star reviews were pedantry born out of pure malice -The graphics are stunning and the recreation of settings (i.e.England,Norway, etc...) were impressively artistic, the idea behind creating a settlement of your own is just fabulous...However:
The never ending crashes, the astounding amount of bugs which plague you every hour of this game, the playability which doesn’t flow as well as other AC titles and makes it hard to even chase a piece of paper, the terribly unexceptional assassination combos or coarse in-battle skills, and just the sheer lack of care from developers which is so obvious even in the smallest details like having to press the right arrow button on your controller to go from unit 1 all the way unit 200, one by one, when buying resources you need to buy in big amounts at the store...come...on...guys...
The game sets you out on an exciting journey with a visually impressive good story line to start with, but it climaxes too quickly and then it turns abysmally boring, with silly repetitive side quests that make you do the same bloody things over and over and over and....
Then, as if the aforementioned issues weren’t enough to turn you off, there is a game breaking bug wayyyy into the game. That’s right, a bug that Ubisoft cannot fix and that will make your game crash and render it utterly useless to the point where you have to go back and repeat 50+ hours (maybe many more) without the slightest hint of objective evidence as to whether or not it’ll happen again!
It pains me to rate such a beautiful game so low, especially one with so much potential. AC Creed is a world renowned title, so it’s sad to see Ubisoft do this to themselves and to its players, but I am afraid I’ll have to give it 2 stars only out of respect for the beauty of the game, which is stunning.
