the sheriff was deeply disappointing. men like him should not be in power. those girls deserved every ounce of justice, and they were not supported enough. small towns scare me and this is partly why. if everyone knows everyone, does everyone protect everyone? or just the people they deem worthy of protection based on politics and bias? anyway, the documentary was well made and did share the story of these girls in an accurate and authentic way. my heart goes out to them and their families.
