There are quite a few smart nordic crime noir shows. Chestnut man - in spite of how promising it starts off - unfortunately isn’t one of them. It tries hard, with relatively good acting, photography…But then…
The totally incompetent police work, including the two main detectives, unlikeable, sometimes downright irritable ‘protagonists’, a murderer who works with perfect foresight, planning and precision up to the point when his identity is revealed (predictable, despite the red herrings) turns into the clumsiest amateur… the various plot holes, lots of annoying clichés, and a lukewarm ending.
Not totally bad, not defitely not good.
