I have always enjoyed reading the crime novels and all the CSI shows. I realized the CSI shows were tailored for TV....you only have 40 minutes to solve a crime! (allowing for commercials) How realistic! : ) This novel dispels all those myths and tells it like it is. It's not pretty dealing with crime scenes and dead, decaying bodies. Thank goodness there are people like Patricia Wiltshire who dissect a crime scene at the molecular level. After reading this book, I can't believe there are any crimes that remain unsolved!
Her candor and openness about her personal life provides great insight into how she became the scientist/person that she is today. This novel can be disturbing to read at times, I cannot imagine how challenging it must be to actually do this line of work! It will definitely challenge your beliefs and expose you to a world that you may never know to exist!
An excellent read for the inquisitive mind!
