A very primordial approach to modern day movie, Cinemabandi illustrates the life of rural India with an all different approach to cinema making. Raw and rustic in it's way, this movie is about amateur filmmakers. The innocence of the characters and their whole hearted devotion to gather money and develop their village off this amateur movie is what makes it more alluring. You're bound to be satisfied and happy seeing this.

Very discrete from your go to zombie movies, Snyder gave the zombie ride a new approach with this all in heist at nowhere but VEGAS. Not a land where they're prisoned, but a kingdom of their own. The first movie to have emotions, breeding and a hell of a war cry among them with humans. Dave Bautista is your man. Hell of a role. If you're a fan of zombie movies, give it a try, however, I would still suggest go for THE WALKING DEAD, you would never be disappointed.

Selvaraj's debutant movie, deals with the rigidity in our society, differentiation based on caste and oppression of the poor. The movie brings out a very bold and strong message. Kathir has nailed the role of the protagonist. From the very beginning to the very end, the movie shows how the poor is always dealt with. The BGM, screenplay, raw cinematography, the portrayal of realistic emotions were a pro. Casteism, honor killings are the evils, which are so strapping to see in this 2hr 34mins. Karuppi played a much convincing part throughout. Well put and would always put you on the edge

Exactly the movie we need right now. Minari showcases the knot between hope and pain. A spectacular watch, especially during these gruelling times, Minari is a gentle story intertwined with heartbreaking realism and personal decision. In this pandemic some may have forgotten the importance of truly feeling any real emotions. If you've lost someone, this movie evokes the freakish nature of seeing them again. The movie showcases these confidential characters yet who are astoundingly loud for those who come from immigrant families. Minari is a beautiful picture that unlike current mainstream cinema, makes you review the beauty you live in once you walk outside.

So if you all are thinking this to be a serial killer mystery, well sorry to break your hearts, it's a NO. The film starts off on a good note and makes us travel to the specifics with a chill running down the spine, but the ending wasn't what one would expect. The initial kidnapper, has a copycat, who is revealed in the later part and the one Keerthi is in search of is discovered much later just to confirm that she did all of these out of jealousy. The BGM is nice, screenplay is nice, the plot could've been highly better but nevertheless, we are so inclined to our lead and the missing child, which shows us an ambiguous turn of events.

Patrick Graham's Betaal starts on a very promising note with the first episode giving the high and detailed peak into the history and the road to corrupt modernisation, however the show had flaws into depicting the zombies, the character of the contractor. The loopholes are in the zombie v/s human fight from episode 3 which just doesn't work much. Slow scenes include the one where the commander was in possession, armory scenes which could have been more intriguing. It was overall a series with a great start against a sloggy end.

Ratsasan is a riveting crime thriller with a highly engaging premise, precisely written story and an engaging screenplay and aptly fleshed out characters, keeping you on the edge of your seats and every sequence is unpredictable. The basic plot itself is highly interesting and as the film unravels, the plot becomes more convoluted while maintaining it's firm grip over the basic plot. Along with the versatile acting of the entire statcast, the technical aspects of this film are extremely laudable including the camera work. The background score, perfectly conveys the emotions of the characters and complements the scenes elevating them to another level. The film presents an inordinate amount of twists and turns with a tauntness in the story telling. Ratsasan is a masterpiece by director Ram Kumar which one should never miss. It pulls you from the off and never lets you go off. The only thing to criticise can be the long run time and the late revelation.

The story revolves around this town named Castle Rock and is a devilishly detailed mystery - filled with segues into the supernatural, carefully created characters, especially of Henry Matthew Deaver, which is properly dissected in episode 8 of the 1st season. Based upon the work of King, who has even produced this series, this is an original work which borrows from his oeuvre. Ostensibly created is the atmosphere of the Shawshank state prison and also the localities. Spooky mystery lies beyond the narrative, which of course is the great Stephen King Universe. High points are the mordant dialogues and the show in the face of Bill Skarsgård(if u remember Pennywise of IT), a very amazing well-acted series with striking mystery plots. Definitely a binge-watch worthy piece.
