EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL, AND VILE
The movie is based on the perspective of Liz Kendall, Ted Bundy's long-time girlfriend.
Pros:
Zac Effron as Ted Bundy did a great job in depicting the charisma of the serial killer which was very important to be depicted well, to show why and how his charm paved the way for him to do these heinous crimes. Next is the accurately similar courtroom scenes, it made the movie more authentic and binge-worthy for docu-freaks. Lily Collins as Liz Kendall portrayed her character well too. Her attraction to Ted, her not letting herself believe that the person she has been with for so long can be this evil, her feeling guilty for giving the police tip about Ted.
The dark character of Ted Bundy is never brought to light, I know this sounds weird to be in the pros list of the movie but I feel since Liz always saw him as a normal man, it was obvious why they never showed his dark side until the last scene where he confesses his crime to Liz in a somewhat creepy way.
Cons:
Not a good movie for those who want to know about the timeline of actual events, nor for those who want to know how Ted carried those crimes. It's obvious because it's a movie from Liz's perspective but I feel they failed to portray it through Liz's perspective too. First of all, what events led Liz to suspect Ted? The movie never explained it in detail which would have been better if they did it because it's a movie from her POV.
The movie all over wasn't something that could keep me hooked till the end and it's because I expected it either to go deep into Ted's evil side or having more of Liz's perspective and thought process. The movie never dives deep into anything.
