Certainly one of my favorite movies and performances, ever. This examination of a man’s love and concern for his family when facing his untimely demise, and the two-way empathy portrayed by Mahershala Ali’s characters, is remarkably deep and insightful. We’ve already taken in a second viewing, to undergo a deeper dive in revisiting Ali’s performance.
