In 2015, I was a sophomore in High School. I already had known about Travis since I was always on websites like Datpiff. I heard "Days Before Rodeo" and was like ok, this is something new and fresh.
Fast forward to September 4th, 2015. I was walking to my block algebra class (I was terrible in math... well school in general, I dropped out of high school) and I got a tweet notification that Travis had released Rodeo. I immediately put on my headphones and started listening to the album. I got in trouble by my math teacher, I simply did not care and kept on listening to the album.
I was in shock and amazed by this album. This album... it understood me. I was a kid in a school that had way bigger dreams than anyone else in there. I was 15 making music and my peers and teachers made it very clearly that they did not approve. I often got scolded for it.
The energy, the story of his come up, it all inspired me.
This album means so much to me, it felt like someone understood me even though we don't know each other.
Fast forward present time April 12th, 2020.
I am still making music, I am still charging towards my goal, I am still me.
Thank you for this album Travis.
