The book has very nicely depicted the unethical and barbaric Mughal rulers of India. They were not the native Indians and hence had no fellow feelings for the natives of India. Their success in ruling india lies in forceful conversion of people from the lower strata of the native population and following the principle of divide and rule. It is the darkest period of India's otherwise rich cultural heritage.
