This is such a wholesome movie. I read the book, and while the book goes into great detail about Angel's life. The movie does a great job. Of course, you can’t get every single detail in a movie. So if you loved/liked the movie you will fall in love with the book. The book will tear you apart and put you back together. It is truly a story of redeeming love. I feel like Angel's character in the book is relatable. We all go through life differently. Also, how we approach life after we experience(d) something traumatic. Redeeming love shows the patience and unshakable faith of a good man wanting to show his unconditional love. While he still shows real human emotions like frustration, hurt and other weakness, he relies strongly on his faith. Redeeming love will have you in all of your feelings and give you a greater perspective of good being on the other side of faith. 10/10 recommend!
For those talking about the movie being explicit, it’s less explicit than the book. So if you read the book and go see the movie you should know what you're walking into.
