Such a wholesome movie! Not a professional movie reviewer here but these are my two cents. If you’re looking for a family friendly, wholesome, inspiring movie, this is the one to watch. It’s a rags to riches story. While the main character keeps in mind where he came from and the lessons his dad taught him of success. It’s a movie that brings people together. Showing we are more alike than we are different, because what we all really want is to be able to dream and reach those dreams to have a better life. This movie delivered just that. Best part about it is that it is a true story!

I think this film was fun, filled with heartfelt moments and lots of action. I appreciated that it was based around the love and importance of family. It’s a great film to go see. I super appreciated all the Hispanic/Mexican inside jokes and references. It was funny overall and well done. **Spoiler Alert** really excited to see where the dad fits in as it was set for another film. Lastly, super classy of the film makers and everyone that worked on the film to pay tribute to El Chapulín 🦗. As a fellow Mexican it was a super first class tribute to one of the best we have seen. Thank you!

This is such a wholesome movie. I read the book, and while the book goes into great detail about Angel's life. The movie does a great job. Of course, you can’t get every single detail in a movie. So if you loved/liked the movie you will fall in love with the book. The book will tear you apart and put you back together. It is truly a story of redeeming love. I feel like Angel's character in the book is relatable. We all go through life differently. Also, how we approach life after we experience(d) something traumatic. Redeeming love shows the patience and unshakable faith of a good man wanting to show his unconditional love. While he still shows real human emotions like frustration, hurt and other weakness, he relies strongly on his faith. Redeeming love will have you in all of your feelings and give you a greater perspective of good being on the other side of faith. 10/10 recommend! For those talking about the movie being explicit, it’s less explicit than the book. So if you read the book and go see the movie you should know what you're walking into.

I feel like this movie had so much potential with some of the big names. Unfortunately, the really good dynamic between Nathan and Victor fell short because it was interrupted by Chloe. Nathan and Victor carried this movie. If you would X-out Chloe, the movie would have been a bit smoother. Santiago should have had a better, more involved part as one of the villains. Jo the villain was horrible. She was more annoying then “villain” material. I hope to see them do better in what is a setup for another movie.

I feel like everything started to go downhill after End Game. Disney is clearly mailing things in from movies to their shows. Definitely bottom of the barrel for me. I wouldn’t watch it again.

If you want action you got action in this movie!! There was one brief raunchy scene that could have been left out with the guy that works at the pentagon. Overall, packed with lots of grown men action throughout the film. I hope there is a sequel to it.

Get the snacks, tissues, and drinks ready for this funny, emotional film. If you are looking for your heartstrings to be pulled on, watch this movie. Great laughs and some “smh” moments. Great story. Some of the reviews have spoiler alerts so if you haven’t seen the movie be careful what you read. A heartwarming reminder of the lengths that a parent is willing to go for his/her child. Highly recommend it.
