I haven't read the books, or even knew there were books, but I'm sure they're WAY better than this series. I think I got to 15 maybe 20 minutes into the first episode of the first season and found myself fast forwarding out of lack of interest. Totally agree that it's Twilight all over again. But at least with that I expect it to be cheesy since they're in high school. But this...... Can we stop with the blonde blue eyed lead actress..please, 2021, come on, there are other hair and eye colors out there. And for a character to be so smart, and yet so dumb, I just can't anymore. Why would you talk about a book that clearly a lot of people want? Just because he mentioned your mom!? Be smarter than that, tired of seeing female leads playing dumb in shows, it's a stereotype that needs to end. Very disappointed in this trope, was really excited to watch, and regret that I started, won't be continuing. But I might read the books.
