What would work in glorious explicit detail in a novel only conveys as confusion and misguidance on screen without the textual information. The plot meanders into a dissonance of elaborate flashbacks that interrupt continuity and disturb the viewers sense of progress. Ultimately this results in a needless excuse to try and keep the Harry Potter universe relevant.
