*SUPPOSED TO BE SPOILER-FREE BUT THERE MAY BE ONE SPOILER, BUT I WOULDN’T CONSIDER IT A SPOILER*
Venom: The Last Dance brings Eddie Brock and Venom for a final showdown against Knull’s creations and the main villains of the movie, the Xenophage.
Filled with action and comedy, Venom: The Last Dance succeeds in many areas that the first and second movie struggled with.. this movie is a lot better than the second Venom movie and is on par with the first Venom movie in terms of action and comedy.
This movie brings enough gore for a PG-13 rated movie, not enough blood for a 15+ rated movie (the age rating for the movie in the UK). Most blood I have seen in a Venom movie, there is actual blood in this movie, believe it or not, no offscreen scenes, just pure entertainment with action, violence and alienated sci-fi.
This movie could’ve been a 5/5 star movie if it was R Rated.. that was one of the only things missing considering this is the last Venom movie in the franchise and we won’t see any Venom again until the animated Venom movie which can’t have as much gore as CGI GORE! It is what it is and I enjoyed this movie and that’s all that matters..
As shown in the trailers, Venom is back to his head biting days and doesn’t have stupid Andy Serkis in the way to ruin it with this toned down bullshit, albeit he voiced Knull and I was very impressed by the voice acting but he did a better job at that than directing a Venom movie.
The Xenophage are absolutely terrifying in this movie and we’re barely toned down, they wanted this movie to have a bit of gore to satisfy the audience and director and CGI artists offered enough which made me happy for the most part.
Thank you Kelly Marcel for bringing us a half decent ending to the trilogy.
There is some comedy but not as much as the second movie, there is enough comedy that is funny and wholesome but not a ridiculous amount which I like because it made the movie more enjoyable that way.
The CGI is so much better than the second movie.. Venom looks so much better and glossier and can actually be looked at, unlike the second movie, where his CGI was a mess.
A few things were missing from this movie but it wasn’t really a problem and didn’t bother me as much as it did in the second Venom movie (I like the second movie but it’s not the best lmao)
By far my favourite Venom movie, the best Venom movie and one of the best Sony movies.. and that says a lot cos Sony have released some bangers. This movie actually teared me up, even teared my sister up who is just an average Venom fan. You will find out what I mean when you see the movie.
This movie was so much more down to earth.
Definitely worth a watch in Cinemas, maybe even in IMAX if you want a good ending for the bromance.
A solid 4/5 stars for me and a 7.5/10.
