Really a most unusual sci fi movie about the mysteries of the brain. Transmigration souls thriugh different dimensions is quite chilling to day the least. Prairies acting very strong and hap reprised by Jason Isaacs is brilliant. An accomplished actor. Steve too gives a very strong performance. A must watch even if it's dragging in parts. Overall different sci fi film. It takes off on the Hindu belief of transmigration of souls which I found rather mystical if not puzzling.

I liked seven seconds immensely because the narrative was highly linear and relied on the strong script of veena sud who is the creator of the serial. No gimmickery if flashbacks or flash forwards to disrupt the narrative. Stays focussed. The emotional tones of black parents losing a teenaged boy is not melodramatic but very realistic. Regina king pulls it off beautifully through her moments of depression. Sud exposed the blatant bias of the jurisprudence system towards the white majority and the bias not see the police guilty. That's why the ending is sardonic as only the death by autu driver cop gets away with only one day less than a year of confinement. Ending us abrupt and shocking. Full of twists and and terms it's a first-rate thriller.

As a movie it might have shades of close encounter of the 3rd kind (Steven Spielberg), and M Night Shyamalans,' 2002 film, signs. The mysterious lights and the alien slipshod on the roof is still fresh in the viewers minds. But director strathies inspiration ends there and he goes beyond the meta physicals.
