Ok. Let me start with, the entire time I was waiting for Russell Brandt to come out and roast Sarah Marshall for another ridiculous fail; a woman who is scared of the rain. Beyond the horrible writing lie the moments which we all know or at least sincerely hope are completely unrealistic. So far fetched that I felt compelled to make a full list in hopes that writers everywhere actually learn something. Horrific writing, take ten.
1) A man who allows a complete stranger into his daughters bedroom to read her a bedroom story (over my dead body; nobody meets my kids let alone goes into their bedroom on meet and greet number one).
2. Take your kid to work day. Enough said.
3. The writing on the back of her car at the police station. There are cameras. Hello. Who is this dumb? Writing threats in the parking lot of a police station. Sure.
4. This woman is a raging alcoholic but seems to drive around totally fine.
5. Abusing pain meds and alcohol plus calling in a false report is absolutely an arrestable offense.
6. Calling in acting like a law enforcement agent and using their ID number is highly illegal and would have been documented and flagged immediately. Nobody is just investigating people based off a phone call.
7. She drinks constantly but can keep her makeup and appearance perfect not to mention physique. All that wine girl, you are packing on the pounds.
8. Mixes pills and alcohol constantly yet never blacks out or ends up in a hospital.
9. They find her passed out in the street after calling 911 and there's no EMTs found anywhere taking her vitals. Yeah right.
10. What kind of dad leaves their daughter in a room with a psycho killer? Let alone a room that locks from the inside.
After all of this what really upset me was the sick attempt to make this a satire. The murder of a child is beyond disturbing let alone the manner of death. It is DISGUSTING and I don't appreciate at all any attempt to make this humorous. Nobody is laughing.
