This actually really impressed me. You don't know what to expect with the way agendas have been more important than the story lately. This franchise has been extremely bad for a few movies now and this was a very good revival. The only thing I questioned is the predator is more primitive and didn't have lasers and relied on more physical means of weapons and yet still had the Bending light tech with no body armor. Other than that the bear fight and the fight scenes in general were well done and her growth was well established which is a rarity today.

What I liked: Leif erikson was a good character. I liked how they put in his knowledge of sailing and his warrior spirit was on point. The first few episodes were ok. I do like how they are showing the confusion between the christian and pagan ways. I was truly hoping to see the next lagertha or arya style fierce woman. In true spirit of woke fashion, they ruined the opportunity. I don't understand woke writing, people liked these characters because they grow from a fiesty lady and get molded into a believable badass. Where is the character growth. The main female feels forced and gets put in some wonderwoman style camp and magically makes an excuse to say I'm the next lagertha. I honestly was hoping they would have continued leif's love interest and molded her so there would have been some balance but nope. It's called a heroes journey. At this point I might as well write a book if this passes for good story telling.

While the original seasons are definitely good and some of the best moral dilemmas I have seen and season four was awesome and then season five happened. None of the characters had their same demeanor. Whoever wrote these episodes clearly was more focused on pushing an agenda. The fifth season had good moments but extremely disappointed with how the elements that made it a good binge worthy show just weren't there.
