Overall, I give this a C+ March 8th 2022 The acting was a bit above average, the basic premise and plot points were ok. The plot twist at the end could be seen a mile away (to be expected these days). I would have given it a slightly higher grade, but there is one major plot hole used as a red herring and that’s just shady story telling in any genre, especially a mystery. I won’t say what it is, you’ll have to see for yourself!

People who are giving this less stars are probably expecting an action movie. It’s more about life and love and losses and new beginnings. It’s just that the story happens during an android apocalypse. While there are some tense action scenes, these are plot points to carry the storyline along. People are also disappointed with the lack of endless plot twists. It’s not needed in this type of film. The pacing is pretty good. I never once got bored. The CGI is ok considering the budget. The color themes are subtle but noticeable if it’s something you’re consciously aware of. Note the use of the color teal, you’ll see it from the scarf that is shown repeatedly, the lights on the “invisible jacket”, and various set lights and filters. I recommend this as a well thought out drama, and not an action/thriller. It’s also a cautionary tale of a possible future to mankind and it will make you think. I gave it a B plus.

Great way to spend an hr and a half. Unfortunately, many critics raked this spooky ghost story over the coals. Many of the twists are seen well ahead of when they happen, but this has been happening for decades. The BIG twist in the third act most won't see coming, at least not in the way it's delivered. I know I didn't. The acting is pretty good, the setting works for a paranormal mystery/thriller and the big plot twist in the third act is worth it. The film doesn't drag on either. The atmospheric pace works well IMO. I recommend to anyone who likes ghost stories and/or mysteries. There's no cliffhanger ending either. :) Happy Viewing!!
