As a Catholic teenager, I was very intrigued and excited to watch this movie because it seemed extremely relatable. However it ultimately proved to be somewhat of a disappointment. First of all, the most entertaining scenes in the entire movie are the ones shown in the trailer. Quite frankly, it ended up being a pretty boring movie. I thought that the themes were good to include in a film because they are so relatable for most Catholic (and Christian) teens. However, I was hoping for a better resolve in the end. I was left disappointed in the end and not satisified. **SPOILER ALERT** It seemed to me that in the end, Natalia Dyer's character seemingly rejected the Catholic faith in a way (i.e. walking out of confession without doing penance) to pursue her physical desires. While I understand that the scene was meant to show a sense of empowerment for her character, I was hoping there would be more of a reconciliation between the faith and her desires. While the struggle she goes through is relatable, it doesn't mean teenagers want to, or should give up on the Catholic faith and the idea of forgiveness.
