It's fine. It is billed as being based on J Heller's novel. Seems more to be based on the original movie, which is classic, is timeless, and didn't need to be redone. May have been more engaging if they had taken a different approach, pacing, etc. In other words, brought something new to the table.

Not good. Great cast, and great "scene/dialog" writing but terrible overall structure. Emotional "shifts" in characters too dramatic to work anywhere but a soap opera. The rapist is the best example of that from EP1 to EP2 - climax too soon? Not believable. We got to a "who cares" point in episode 2 (what value does she have to witness protection now that her serial killer BF committed suicide, and, now that I'm not invested... why should I now care about character?) My wife watched a few more and couldn't connect due to the aforementioned. Like a cake that came out of the oven too soon.
