Brad Pitt delivers an incredible performance, both embodying and critiquing a masculine persona based on stuffing feelings in pursuit of "mission." While the film delivers an intense and suspenseful sci fi drama, Pitt's nuanced performance well demonstrates the conflicting demands on a warrior mentality.
