It wasn't scary, it wasn't funny and I had no emotional investment in any of the 2-dimensional characters. I'm baffled why this has such a high rotten tomatoes score. Predictable, trope-y and phoned in, there's really nothing special about this movie.
I've read some consider it satire? If that's the intention, it is so subtle, it's barely detectable. As for the horror genre label stuck on it, again, it doesn't go far enough to justify it. Maybe to kids it would qualify as a horror film.
I'm never trusting rotten tomatoes again. It is seriously flawed.
