The book was inspiring. It narrated the determination of a person, Kurt Eichenwald, suffering from epilepsy to pursue his aspirations and dreams. Before attaining successes in his life, he met a number of stumbling blocks: his school attempted to kick him out, his doctors misdiagnosed and maltreated his disease, and prospective employers showing some dislikes about his disease, thus refusing his employment. His greatest apprehension, however, was how his future family members would take his illness. He was not sure how his family as a whole and as individual members would co-exist with his illness.
Nonetheless, Kurt overcame all challenges, and turned out to be a good and outstanding writer. The book showed the persistence of a person against all odds, and he succeeded.
