As someone who has read and watched all of the LOTR multiple times, this show is PAINFUL. It isn’t true to any storyline I’ve read by Tolkien and the characters certainly aren’t faithful to their description in the books. Everything is way way over the top and it’s more comedy than anything else. Also, while I can appreciate the Amazon crew trying to pay homage to Peter Jackson’s LOTR world, it was a total miss. The series showcases over the top costuming, poor dialogue/storyline, and miscasting of its characters. If possible, season 2 looks even worse.

I was completely unprepared for how terrible this movie was. While my expectations weren't high to begin with, this film crashed and burned. It was a dinosaur movie.....with no dinosaurs. The entire film was ambiguous, slow paced, with dreadful editing/directing. The creators took no effort to research the Cretaceous period and took several liberties when it came to the landscape, its inhabitants, and space travel, all of which were completely and utterly unbelievable (10,000 B.C did a better job). If you still feel the need to watch this movie, wait for Prime. Save your money and spend it on something worth watching, or just watch Jurassic Park.

This movie is a masterpiece. Timeless. It's a movie you can watch over and over again.
