Then game may start off slow but after the first couple of hours, it turned into one of the best games ever. There is a ton of stuff to do, random encounters to come across and planets to traverse. This game is about exploring and BGS made sure that was the core element.
Some people complain about no manual take off and landing. Have you plays Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen? It gets old fast. Some people are complaining about the lack of planet to planet travel. This game simulated actual distance. It would take hours to travel from planet to planet. Light seconds (186,000 miles) and Astronomical Units (93,000,000 miles) are distance units in this game. You also don't have to go to the map to travel to your next mission destination. Look at the marker in your ship, press A (on Xbox) then X to travel.
Maps are also a complaint. There is a surface map to refer to. It may not be good but it's there. You could also be not lazy and go to the information kiosks, signs or explore the cities. This game is not intended to hold your hand all of the way through. Put your big boy suit on and walk.
The landscapes in this game are beautiful. I came across a moon that had the feel of the western US. It has red rock type land scape with a Monument Valley feel. Unfortunately I can't find it anymore. I will again on day. The ship designing is indepth and quite awesome. You can spend hours in the crafting and ship design systems.
Over all, the game is not perfect but, it is fun. You can get lost in this game for hours just by walking around the cities. There is a ton of content in this game that will keep you busy until Elder Scrolls 6. Though it's not perfect, it has the perfect formula to be perfect and I cannot wait to see what BGS does with this game. If you don't like it, that's find, the game isn't for everyone. I will continue to play it and increase my 24hrs of play time into hundreds, if not thousands of hours.
- safe travels, watch for pirates.
