If anyone is going through dilemma whether to watch it or not . Please do watch it !!! don't even think twice . The leads setting aside their famous background have blended with the character so well and the entire cast has given a phenomenal performance . The fear and anger of the natives are valid but as an international fan I have learnt a lot about South Korea , its history , struggle because of this drama which I wouldn't even have known about all this time . I was wondering inspite of it being so perfect why are the controversies happening . It made me read about the entire freedom struggles , sufferings of SK and the pro democratic movement and history of SK . And according to me till episode 5 nothing of as such is shown that can distort the history of Korea. All backlashes are mainly due to wrong information and misunderstanding of the plot showed in first 2 episodes and pre conceived notions from the start. If the series had mentioned ''based on true events'' and depicted wrong things then all the hate is justified but it is clearly shown its a piece of fiction and characters are made up too . The drama doesn't glorify anyone it shows the dark side of authorities blinded for power . And no one is going to learn history of any country from few episodes of any series there are books, documentations and movies exclusively made for that. And it doesn't depict pro democratic movements much ,main motive for female lead and her friend to save and hide a injured guy was thinking that he is a student protestor whom the cops are wrongly accusing as North Korea spy. The cast and crew have really worked hard for it along with sleepless nights lets not accuse them until we see the entire plot .If after 16 episodes if the natives still feel its distorting the history they have all rights to sign the petition to remove it from streaming ,till then lets not spread hatred because many of us have been waiting really long for it let us wait for further episodes before coming to a conclusion.
