was about ten years old and my brother was about 6 years old. My parents were going out for a social evenings and Dad and Mum told us we could watch television until bedtime, Once the Quatermass show stated we didn't go anywhere, we spent the rest of the evening crouched down behind the couch with as much of toy and home made artillery we could dig up, more so after the street lights went off. And we had a plan, as soon as the doorbell went we charged toward the door firing our "Dragnet" cap pistols and the brass handle fire poker, Sadly in the excitement the visiting Tony Oldham's camera got dropped in the alcove under the stairs. The most upsetting loss was that in the mele was that some scenery for the goldfish tank which have deen lead base painted. By morning all the gold fish had passed away. Don't think we were left on our own at night after that.
