Grisham hasn't had his touch for a while now. This book is weird and you get the sense of Grishams liberalism coming through...never used to. Books used to just be entertaining. Plus I gotta say most of the characters are unlikable rich snobs. If you like his kind of fiction, you will do yourself a huge favor to read Greg Isles instead

I am 21 pages in and wonder if I can finish this book. I knew King was a rabid leftist but holy hell...he really lets it all hang out here. I don't understand Liberal morons that, rather than keep their views to themselves so as to sell more of their product, take it as a badge of honor to spit on half the country. "I don't want THOSE people buying my books anyway". All this saddens me as I feel King is an excellent writer and I have read every one of his books. Not sure I will be reading any more. Not going to give you my money to denigrate me and my views. Have fun peddling your works to the unemployed, man-bun, gauge earing crowd...bet you will make a fortune!

The recent Grisham books have been mediocre with this one being the worst. Not done with it yet but an anxious to finish as I find it boring. Agree with everyone else complaints...has characters from the Firm but zero story line relating to it. I just find the books from early in his career to now being night and day. I buy every one but may need to reconsider as they just don't have the same magic

I am a big Follett fan but this book is super disappointing. I'm half way through and it is boring as hell. Nothing is happening...except his constant Woke jabs. I guess I know his politics now. Please just write an entertaining book and leave preaching out of it. I can't wait to see what becomes of the woman presidents love life!!!!
