This show is AMAZING. Just truly spectacular in the way that it makes you feel good inside about watching attractive teenagers have actual, relatable problems and flawed but well-meaning adults do the right thing. I watched the original Saved by the Bell when I was a kid and even though there were a lot of good moments, there were also a lot of moments that made me cringe even before I knew why they were problematic. Like how Jessie was always shut down when she got passionate about something or how Kelly always seemed to be presented as a prize for Slater and Zach to compete over because she was pretty. This show has taken all those moments and allowed the characters to actually GROW and CHANGE, something the original could never do because of the nature of sitcom TV back then. Writers never knew if episodes would be aired out of order and making sure that new viewers could understand everything that was happening was paramount, so characters stayed static archetypes of themselves. The new characters breathe fresh air and life into the show but still reference the original source material that gave them shoulders to stand on. In conclusion, I cannot WAIT for season 2 NBC tell me what you need and I will do it!
