I don’t give this score lightly , i LOVE Wes Anderson movies , more than that , i ADORE them. But what an absolute pile of toss this was. It’s been a VERY long time since I’ve walked out of a film early but if I hadn’t been sat right in the middle of the theatre I would’ve done. Devoid of any sort of narrative it was a total mass of over indulgent twaddle. I hated this and it smacked of someone that had been given a huge amount of money and creative freedom and had no idea of what to do with it. Even with a 2 for 1 ticket I felt like we’s been mugged. Wes Anderson’s reign of genius comes to a very spectacular and public end.
