Overall the movie was ok but it fell flat. As I watched it I tried to figure out why. As a reader of the books they completely took out all of the drama and the traditional back and forth relationship of Hardin and Tess. This feels in part due to the lack of build up with Zed. They completely missed the mark of how toxic their relationship is and tried to tie a pretty bow on things. Also Hardin and Tessa’s relationship is also very sexual. The actors did a poor job of portraying the chemistry and connection that they have.
